A quick summary of what I believe.

Policy Summary

I am pro-life.

I support a balanced budget. The Federal deficit destroys manufacturing jobs and places an unacceptable fiscal burden on our children.

Jobs. The bailout, coupled with high FDIC premiums and a chaotic regulatory scheme, make it difficult for small businesses to obtain credit. This is serious because small and newly-created businesses generate most of the jobs in the economy.

The strain on Social Security and Medicare reflects our aging population and the fact that the work force is now too small relative to the number of dependents. Solving America’s demographic problem—by importing capital, documented labor and entrepreneurial ability—will allow Social Security and Medicare to be fully funded going forward.

Taxes on wage and non-wage income ought to be set at rates competitive to other countries. A mix of low to moderate taxes works best.

Discrimination based on a person’s race, ethnicity or national origin is unacceptable. It is important that our concern about border crime does not translate into an anti-hispanic bias in the community and in the workplace.

Publicly funded education is a path out of poverty for many people.

A just government protects workers’ rights.

Gun Rights. I own several guns; I plan to keep them. I enjoy hunting and target shooting.

Afghanistan. Our commitment to win in Afghanistan draws in regional partners, such as the Pakistani intelligence services and Afghan tribal factions, whose support is critical.

Israel is our ally and deserves to be treated as such. The military dictatorship of Iran is not.
